Crochet amigurumi plush bunny

Free crochet tutorial for a Plush Bunny by @ulaplushka.

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush bunny in a skirt with a bow. Any plush yarn in two colors and a suitable crochet hook will work for this amigurumi. If you like, you can decorate the bunny with a ribbon.

The finished toy is about 28-29 cm tall.

Materials and Tools

  • Himalaya Dolphin Baby plush yarn: less than one skein of the main color, 1/3 skein of the second color (for the dress and bow)
  • Black thread for embroidering the face
  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • 9-10 mm safety eyes
  • Toy stuffing
  • Needle for sewing parts together
  • Scissors

Crochet Pattern: Amigurumi Plush Bunny with a Bow

The legs and arms will be crocheted in, so start with them.

Legs (make 2)

5-6: 18 sc
7: 3 sc, 6 dec, 3 sc (12)
8-14: 12 sc
Stuff the leg, but not all the way, leaving about 1.5 cm unstuffed.
15: Crochet 2 more sc, fold in half, and crochet 6 sc through both layers.

Pull the yarn through and cut, leaving about 15 cm.

Stuff the toy firmly enough with fiberfill. Close the opening and weave in the yarn tail.

Skirt

Work into the front loops of round 10. Find the first stitch, attach the yarn, and crochet 36 sc. Tie the starting tail and working yarn together in a knot so they do not come loose.

Fasten off and weave in the yarn tail.

Do NOT stuff the ears.
15: Fold in half and crochet 6 sc through both layers.

Finish crocheting and pull the yarn through. Fold the base of the ear in half once more and secure it with 3 stitches. Cut the yarn, leaving about 20 cm for sewing the ear to the head.

Assembly

  • Sew on the ears.
  • Sculpt the face and embroider the nose.
