Free crochet tutorial for Phoebe Cat by Viktoria @vika_yarami.

Using this pattern, you can crochet a cat in a faux-fur cape. Any cotton blend yarn will work for this amigurumi project. For the edging on the jacket and booties, you will need fluffy yarn such as Alize Softy or Adelia Sofia.

Arms (make 2)

Crochet with dark blue or black yarn. Stuff only up to round 6.

Fold in half and crochet 3 sc through both layers. Fasten off and cut the yarn. Crochet the second arm in the same way.

Ears (make 2)

Do not stuff the ears. Crochet with dark blue or black yarn.

Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Face Details

• Embroider the nose with pink yarn on round 13. With the same yarn, embroider a small stripe across 2 rounds. Embroider the mouth on round 16.
• Embroider the lower whiskers with gray yarn between rounds 15 and 16, and the upper whiskers on round 14.
• With white thread, embroider the whites at the sides of the eyes. Then embroider a thin black line above each eye to make the eyes more expressive.

Toy Assembly

• Sew the ears on between rounds 4 and 11, with the convex sides facing outward.
• Sew the head to the body. My cat's head is shifted slightly forward.
• Attach the legs with thread joints between rounds 7 and 8.

Cape (Faux-Fur Coat)

Crochet with peach yarn. Work in turning rows.

1. Ch 46, starting from the 6th ch from the hook: 40 dc, ch 2, turn
2. 40 dc, ch 2, turn
3. 40 dc, fasten off and cut the yarn

Join white Alize Softy yarn under the loop formed at the beginning of the row. Crochet an edging around the entire cape except for the loop. Mine has 90 sc. Fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide the tail.
