Feet (2 pieces)

1: 6 sc in MR
2: In one stitch, work (sl st, 1 ch, sl st), repeat 2 more times

Fasten off, cut the yarn, and leave a long tail for sewing.

Pointed Hat

Use Softy yarn. Cast on 20 stitches (18 + 2 edge stitches):

1-2: knit stitches
Change to red yarn
3: knit
4: purl
5: knit
6: purl

Then, in each knit row, make 1 dec in the middle until 9 stitches remain on the needles. Make 4 dec more. Draw the stitches closed. Sew the hat and attach it to the body with monofilament.

Earflap Hat

Start with Softy yarn. Cast on 22 stitches:

1-2: knit stitches
Change to red yarn
3: knit
4: purl
5: knit
6: purl
Change back to Softy yarn
7: knit

Draw the stitches closed. Sew the hat. Attach a pom-pom.

Continue crocheting:

Join red yarn at the back of the hat and crochet several sc to the place where the first earflap will be.

Then chain 6, and from the second chain from the hook work 5 sc, then 1 sc in each of the remaining 4 chains. Crochet sc again to the place where the second earflap will be. Repeat. After finishing the second earflap, continue with sc.

Stuff the hat lightly and sew it to the body.

Use the "cord" method, meaning do not turn the work to the wrong side. Crochet only on the right side, returning to stitch 1 each time.

Snood Scarf

Alternate white and red every row. Cast on 10 stitches and knit 47 rows. Sew both scarf edges together. Put it on the penguin and attach it with monofilament.

Scarf

Alternate colors every 2 rows. Cast on 8 stitches. Adjust the length as you like.
