Amigurumi mitten crochet pattern

Thumb

Start by crocheting the thumb.

1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc (12)
3-4. 12 sc

Cut the yarn, fasten off, and hide the tail. We will crochet this thumb into the main piece later.

Palm

1. 6 ch, start from the 2nd chain from hook
2. 4 sc, 3 sc in 1 stitch, 3 sc, inc (12)
3. inc, 3 sc, 3 inc, 3 sc, 2 inc (18)
4. 1 sc, inc, 3 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 3, 3 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 2 (24)
5. 2 sc, inc, 3 sc, (2 sc, inc) x 3, 3 sc, (2 sc, inc) x 2 (30)
6-7. 30 sc
8. 26 sc, place the thumb with the side where you finished crocheting, then crochet 2 sc through both the thumb and the palm at once, 2 sc along the palm
9. 25 sc, then make a dec (take one stitch from the palm and one from the thumb and crochet them together), 8 sc along the thumb, make the same dec again, 1 sc (36)
10-14. 36 sc (5 rounds)
15. 28 sc, dec, 6 sc (35)

Change to white yarn and cut the main color.

16. 35 sc
17. 28 sc, dec, 5 sc (34)
18-19. 34 sc
20. (15 sc, dec) x 2 (32)

Cut the yarn, fasten off, and hide the tail.

21. Join yarn at the base of the "fur" to hide the transition from one yarn color to the other. Crochet one round of sc along the bottom, inserting the hook into the bars of the red stitches right at the join. 36 sc, sl st.

Cut the yarn and hide the tail.

Finishing

Cut a 19-20 cm piece of cord or string and tie a knot. Insert the cord through the side of the mitten so the knot stays inside. Add a little glue to the knot and push it deeper into the fuzzy cuff. Now your mitten will not get lost. Glue on any decoration you like. Your crocheted mitten is ready.
