Mini unicorn amigurumi crochet

Free mini unicorn crochet tutorial by Lesya Medvedeva.

With this pattern, you can crochet a tiny unicorn. This amigurumi can be used as a keychain. Any acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or cotton blend yarn will work for this unicorn. The author made the toy with acrylic yarn.

Finished toy size is about 4 cm.

Materials and Tools

  • Acrylic yarn (white and pink)
  • 0.5 mm crochet hook
  • Small piece of wire
  • Felting wool (for the mane)
  • Synthetic poly filling
  • Needle
  • Scissors

Round 2: (sc, inc) x 3 (9)
Rounds 3-4: 9 sc. Change yarn color.
Rounds 5-6: 9 sc
Round 7: 7 sc, dec (8)

Round 9: 6 sc, dec (7)
Round 10: 7 sc
Round 11: 2 sc, dec, sc, dec (5). Pull the ring tight and hide yarn tails.

Legs (2 pieces)

Round 1: MR6
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Rounds 3-5: 12 sc. Change yarn color.
Rounds 6-9: 12 sc. On the left leg, crochet 4 extra sc.

Round 1: 5 ch, 3 sc into the second chain from the hook, 2 sc, 3 sc into the last chain, 2 sc (10). Leave a starting tail about 25-30 cm long.
Round 2: 3 inc, 2 sc, 3 inc, 2 sc (16)
Round 3: 16 sc
Round 4: (sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 3 sc) x 2 (20)
Round 5: 5 sc, dec, 8 sc, dec, 3 sc. Make an offset sc in pink, then change yarn color.
Rounds 6-7: 18 sc
Round 8: 4 sc, dec, 7 sc, dec, 3 sc (16)

Round 10: 3 sc, dec, 6 sc, dec, 3 sc (14)
Rounds 11-12: 14 sc. Stuff the head. Bend the wire and insert it in the middle between rounds 10 and 11.
Round 13: 2 sc, 6 dec. Finish stuffing the head. 2 dec.

Pull the ring tight and hide yarn tails.
Bring out the tail you left earlier where the wire is, wrap the horn, and hide the end.

Toy Assembly

  • Sew on the head and arms
  • Felt the mane and the tip of the tail
  • Draw or embroider the eyes
