Mini Toys

Free Mini Toys crochet tutorial by Elizaveta Igoshina @plyshatoys.
With this tutorial, you can crochet plush animals: a bunny, a kitty, and a teddy bear from one pattern. For this amigurumi project, you can use any plush yarn of your choice. All three toys are made using one pattern and differ only in the ears and tails. For the faces, you need plastic eyes and noses, as well as smooth black and white embroidery thread. Shape the faces by making eye sculpting.

Sculpting and Face Details
Cut a strand of yarn for eye and muzzle sculpting.
Sculpt the eyes. Insert the needle into the first round of the head from below, roughly under the inner corner of the eye you want to sculpt.
Bring the needle and yarn out at the outer side of the eye, pass the yarn to the inner side. Bring the needle and yarn out in the same round where you inserted it, but offset by 1 sc. Secure the sculpting for one eye. Repeat the same for the second eye.
Tie a knot in the center between the eyes.
You will have one long end left for sculpting the muzzle. Insert the needle with yarn approximately between the eyes and bring it out again to round 1 where the yarn tail is. Tighten.
Sew All Pieces Together
- Sew the arms between rounds 10 and 11 of the body. Use the lower legs as a guide; the upper legs should be directly above them.
- Sew the ears wherever you like. First place them on the head and pin them in place; if you like the look, sew them on.
- Sew the tail onto the lower back.
