Little Giraffe

Free Little Giraffe crochet tutorial by Olga Lukoshkina @lukoshkina.o.

With this pattern, you can crochet a small giraffe. For this amigurumi project, you can use any acrylic, cotton, or blended yarn. The author recommends YarnArt Jeans.

The finished toy is slightly smaller than the palm of your hand.

Materials and Tools

• YarnArt Jeans yarn (yellow and beige)
• Alize Miss yarn (brown)
• 2.25 mm and 1.25 mm crochet hooks
• Safety eyes
• Brown and white thread for embroidering the eyebrows and nose
• Toy stuffing
• Needle for sewing parts together
• Scissors

• inc - increase
• dec - decrease
• (...) x n times - repeat n times
• (12) - number of stitches at the end of the round

Legs (2 pieces)

Yellow yarn, 2.25 mm hook:

1: 6 sc in MR (6)
2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
3-5: 9 sc (3 rounds)

Cut the yarn.

Do not cut the yarn on the second leg, continue crocheting the body.

Body

From the second leg, make 2 ch and join to the first leg.

6: 9 sc around the first leg, 2 sc in 2 ch, 9 sc around the second leg, 2 sc in 2 ch (22)

Insert the eyes between rounds 9 and 10, spacing them 8-9 sc apart.

Cut the yarn. Embroider the whites of the eyes with white thread.
