Little Cherry Doll

Free Little Cherry Doll crochet tutorial by Tatyana Sokolova @tatsok_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a small doll in a cherry costume. For this doll, any acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or cotton blend yarn will work.

Finished toy size is about 11 cm (without the hat).

Materials and Tools

• YarnArt Jeans or any yarn: beige (for the body), coffee (for the hair), white (for the skirt), light cherry (for the skirt, hat, collar), light begonia (for the flower, collar), bright green (for the leaf)
• 1.9-2.5 mm crochet hook
• Safety eyes
• Synthetic poly filling
• Iris thread for face embroidery
• 3 beads (for the flower and collar)
• Glue
• Needle for sewing parts
• Scissors

Pull the opening closed. Fasten off, cut, and hide the yarn tail.

Pull the opening closed and cut the yarn. Sew on the arms with button jointing. Insert screw safety eyes. Count 15 rounds up from the MR, leave 5 sc between the eyes, and insert the eyes. Embroider the nose with body-color yarn. Embroider the whites under the eyes with white yarn. Use black Iris thread to embroider a small eyeliner above the eye, then embroider the mouth and eyebrows.

(21 ch, starting from the second chain from hook 20 sc, sl st in next stitch) x 26, (5 ch, starting from the second chain from hook 4 sc, sl st in next stitch, sl st in next stitch) x 5 Match the center of the wig with the top of the head, sew first around the edge, then round by round, moving toward the crown. Secure the strands, glue or sew them in place. I used Moment Crystal glue. Add blush to the cheeks.

Skirt

Join yarn light cherry to the BLO in round 13:

2. 2 hdc in each stitch (96)

Join yarn white and edge the skirt: (3 ch, skip 1 stitch, sl st) x to the end of round. Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Hat

Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Leaf

Yarn bright green, hook No. 1.9:

Make a chain of 8 ch, starting from the 2nd chain from hook: 2 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 2 sc, 1 ch, on the other side of the chain (crochet over the tail right away): 2 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, sl st.

Then crochet the stem. Make a chain of 11 ch, starting from the second chain from hook crochet 10 sl st, make another chain of 11 ch, starting from the second chain from hook crochet 10 sl st, cut yarn, attach the stem to the leaf.

Cherry

Yarn light cherry, hook No. 1.9:

Leave a slightly longer tail, cut yarn, and close the opening.

Sew the cherry to the stem and bring the tail out through the MR. Use this tail to sew the cherry onto the side of the hat. Sew the second stem to the top of the hat (into the MR).

Small Flower

Yarn light begonia, hook No. 1.9:

In MR crochet 4 ch (do not tighten the ring), sl st in MR. Repeat 4 more times (you get 5 petals total). Sew a red bead in the center. Sew the flower to the side of the hat.

Collar

Yarn light cherry, hook No. 1.9:

• Make a chain of 19 ch (leave a tail about 30-35 cm for ties), starting from the third chain from hook, crochet 2 hdc in each stitch to the end of the row.
• (3 ch, skip 1 stitch, sl st) x to the end of the row
• Join yarn light begonia
• Crochet under the arches for 2 rows: (4 sc under first arch, 1 sc under next arch) x to the end of the row.

Fasten off and cut yarn. Using the tail left at the beginning, crochet a chain of 25 ch, join yarn on the other side and make the second tie. Thread beads on both ends. Sew on a flower button. The collar is ready, put it on.
