Bottom Piece

1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)
Mark the last stitch of the round; we will start attaching tentacles from it.
3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
6: (4 sc, inc) x 6 (36)

Tentacles

Attach tentacles to the second round of the bottom piece. Insert hook into the last stitch of round two and bring it out through the neighboring stitch. Fasten yarn and chain 40 ch + 1 turning ch. Crochet along the chain with (1 sc, inc) 20 times.

Insert hook into the next 2 stitches of the base, crochet 1 sc.

Chain 27 ch + 1 turning ch, crochet 27 sc along the chain. Again insert hook into the next 2 stitches of the base, crochet 1 sc.

Chain 50 ch + 1 turning ch, crochet 2 sc in each chain stitch. Make 3 more tentacles the same way. To make tentacles different lengths, randomly add (or reduce) the number of chains in starting chains.

Crochet 9 chain cords (3 in each color) with varying lengths - from 25 ch to 50 ch. Carefully pull the ends of these chains through the MR of the bottom piece. Tie ends with 2-3 knots.

Top Piece

1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)
3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
6: (4 sc, inc) x 6 (36)
7: (5 sc, inc) x 6 (42)
8: (6 sc, inc) x 6 (48)
9-14: 48 sc
15: (6 sc, dec) x 6 (42)
16: (5 sc, dec) x 6 (36)

Do not cut yarn; join top and bottom pieces. Insert hook through stitches of both pieces.

17: (1 sc, skip 1 base stitch, 5 dc in next sc, skip 1 base stitch) repeat to end of round, sl st
