Pull the opening closed and hide the yarn tail inside the piece.

Crochet the drips

Turn the ice cream upside down and join white yarn to the last free half-loop of round 29 worked in BLO. Crochet 5 sc, chain 6, insert the hook into the 2nd ch from hook and work back along the chain with 5 sc. Attach the chain with one sl st into the same base stitch where you made the first sc. Continue making drips the same way, working each drip from every 5th stitch. Alternate drip lengths as you like. I made chains of 5, 3, 4, and 2 stitches (+1 chain). Glue or sew the drips (I glue them).

Edge the ice cream with one round of sl st, inserting the hook between rounds 29 and 30.

Crochet the nose

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: 12 sc
Rnd 4: 6 dec (6)

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the nose between rounds 33 and 35 of the head and add stuffing.

Embroider the eyes

First mark eye placement with pins as shown in the photo. Place points 1-2 and 4-5 between rounds 36 and 37, and points 3 and 6 between rounds 35 and 36. Eye width is 4 sc, height is 1 sc, and the distance between eyes is 6 sc. Using a single strand of black yarn, embroider the eye outline, catching head threads as you work (I use regular sewing thread). Then wrap the same black thread around the embroidered outline to secure it and make it denser. Embroider eyelashes. I do not wrap them because the stitch is short in this case. You can do it however you prefer. Embroider the second eye the same way. Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Rnd 8: 12 sc

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the cap to the top of the snowman so it tilts slightly to one side, and add stuffing.

Sew buttons onto the cone. Attach a hanging cord to the top. Using a needle, insert one end of the cord into the MR and bring it out at any point, then insert the second end into the MR as well and bring it out at the same point as the first end. Tie both ends with a strong knot and hide it inside the toy. Done!

Crochet the drips

Turn the ice cream upside down and join white yarn to the last free half-loop of round 17 worked in BLO. Crochet 6 sc, chain 6, insert the hook into the 2nd ch from hook and work back along the chain with 5 sc. Attach the chain with one sl st into the same base stitch where you made the first sc. Continue making drips the same way, working each drip from every 6th stitch. Alternate drip lengths as you like. I made chains of 5, 3, 4, and 2 stitches (+1 chain). Glue or sew the drips (I glue them).

Edge the ice cream with one round of sl st, inserting the hook between rounds 17 and 18.

Crochet the nose

Rnd 1: 4 sc in MR
Rnd 2: 4 inc (8)
Rnd 3: 8 sc
Rnd 4: 1 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec, 1 sc (6)

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the nose between rounds 20 and 22 of the head and add stuffing.

Embroider the eyes with doubled black thread (I use regular sewing thread) between rounds 21 and 23 of the head using one stitch. Eye height is 1 sc, width is 2 sc, and the distance between eyes is 4 sc.

Embroider the cheeks (I use split red Alize Cotton Gold yarn, 2 strands out of 4) with 3 stitches. Place the cheeks between rounds 20 and 21 at a distance of 1 sc from the eyes.

Crochet the cherry

Prepare a small piece of waxed cord in advance (about 3-4 cm) and tie a tight knot at one end.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (before pulling the opening closed, place the cord inside so the knot stays inside the cherry)
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (3 sc, inc) x 3 (15)
Rnd 4-5: 15 sc (2 rounds)
Rnd 6: (3 sc, dec) x 3 (12)
Rnd 7: 6 dec (6)

Stuff the piece, pull the opening closed, and hide the yarn tail inside. Sew or glue the cherry to the top of the ice cream so it tilts slightly to one side (I glue it). Sew on buttons, or embroider contrasting stitches on the cone as shown in the photo. Attach keychain hardware. Done!
