Amigurumi house crochet keychain

A free crochet tutorial for the House Keychain by Oksana Podobed @oksana.podobed.

Using this pattern, you can crochet a small house. Any yarn works for this amigurumi. You can use the house as a keychain for keys or a bag, turn it into a Christmas ornament, a pendant, or simply place it on a shelf.

Materials and tools

  • Yarn: roof color, wall color, window color, door color, green for grass
  • Crochet hook
  • Toy stuffing
  • Beads or seed beads
  • Keychain hardware
  • Needle
  • Scissors

  • MR — magic ring
  • sc — single crochet
  • sl st — slip stitch
  • inc — increase

  • 3 in 1 — three single crochet stitches in one stitch

Amigurumi house keychain crochet pattern

Roof and walls

Start crocheting with roof-color yarn.

1: 4 sc in MR = 4
2: 1 sc, 3 in 1, 1 sc, 3 in 1 = 8
3: 2 sc, 3 in 1, 3 sc, 3 in 1, 1 sc = 12
4: 3 sc, 3 in 1, 5 sc, 3 in 1, 2 sc = 16
5: 4 sc, 3 in 1, 7 sc, 3 in 1, 3 sc = 20
6: 5 sc, 3 in 1, 9 sc, 3 in 1, 4 sc = 24

Switch to wall-color yarn.

7: In the back loops of stitches, 24 sc = 24
8: 24 sc = 24

From round 3, start shaping the window and the door.

9-11: 9 sc, 3 sc (window color), 2 sc, 3 sc (door color), 7 sc = 24
12-13: 14 sc, 3 sc (door color), 7 sc = 24

Add an offset of 7 sc. Switch to grass-color yarn.

14: 24 sc = 24

Add 1 sl st, cut and fasten off yarn.

Bottom

With grass-color yarn:

Chain 10, from the second chain from the hook:
1 inc, 7 sc, 5 sc in the last chain, move to the other side of the chain, 7 sc, 3 in 1 = 24

Stuff the house and sew the bottom to it, joining 24 stitches of the house and 24 stitches of the bottom using slip stitches.

Roof

Attach roof-color yarn to round 6 of the house, working in the front loops of round 6:

(2 ch, 1 sc, 1 sc) in the first stitch, 1 sl st in the second stitch, then alternate (1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc) in one stitch and 1 sl st in the next stitch to the end of the round.

Make 1 sl st in the first stitch at the start of the roof, fasten off the yarn, cut it, and hide the ends inside the house.

Finishing

  • With grass-color yarn, embroider little grass stems.
  • With black thread, embroider the outlines of the window and the door.
  • Sew on seed beads as flowers. If you do not have seed beads, embroider flowers with French knots using colored yarn.
