Pants

Knit with needles.

The number of stitches depends on your yarn and gauge. I used Adelia Natali yarn and 1 mm knitting needles.

Cast on 32 stitches.
Rows 1-4: 1x1 ribbing
Rows 5-9: Stockinette stitch
Then divide the stitches in half and knit each pant leg separately.
Rows 10-19: Stockinette stitch
Rows 20-23: 1x1 ribbing

Sew the pant legs together, put the pants on the body, and close the back with a hidden seam.

Toy Assembly

  • First sew on the spikes, shifting them toward the back of the head and slightly onto the back. Place the end of the spike piece (last 15 stitches) at the back. Sew on the arms at the side seam where the spiky coat joins the body.
  • Sew on the legs and bend them slightly at the ankles and knees.
  • Sew on the muzzle after stuffing it.
  • Make light sculpting for the eyes and mouth in a triangle shape, with the bottom point at the lower muzzle join.
  • Tint the eye attachment points slightly, and also tint the tip of the muzzle and cheeks.
  • Sew on bead eyes, or embroider closed eyes and a short line from the nose to the mouth point.
  • Glue or sew on the nose, placing it slightly closer to the upper part of the muzzle.
  • Decorate and dress your hedgehog as you like.
