Amigurumi plush Harry crochet

A free crochet tutorial for Harry by Galina Burlakova @plyushevoe_schastye.

With this pattern, you can crochet Harry Potter. For this amigurumi project, you will need any plush yarn, 100 g / 120 m. The whole toy is crocheted in a spiral as one piece. You can find ready-made glasses in craft stores, or you can make them yourself, for example from wire, plastic, or polymer clay.

  • Plush yarn, 100 g / 120 m: two shades of gray, black, red, yellow, skin tone
  • 3.75 mm crochet hook
  • 8 mm safety eyes
  • Toy stuffing
  • Stitch markers
  • Round metal or plastic glasses
  • Pins
  • Needle for sewing parts
  • Scissors

Amigurumi Harry Crochet Pattern

Body-Head

Start crocheting with dark gray yarn.

1. 8 sc in MR (8)
2. 3 inc, leg (with black yarn: 3 ch, from the 2nd ch from the hook: popcorn, sl st, and sl st into the base of the chain), 2 inc, leg (with black yarn), 3 inc (16)
3. 16 sc (16)

From the next round, change to light gray yarn.

4. 16 sc (16)

Crochet the next round with red yarn.

5. 16 sl st (16)

Crochet the next round again with light gray yarn, working into the BLO of the slip stitches.

6. 6 sc, arm (with skin-tone yarn: 4 ch, from the 2nd ch from the hook: popcorn, 2 sl st, and sl st into the base of the chain), 6 sc, arm (with skin-tone yarn), 4 sc (16)
7. 8 dec (8)

From the next round, change colors and alternate black and skin-tone yarn.

You will no longer need the skin-tone yarn; you can cut it. Continue crocheting with black yarn.

Insert the eyes between rounds 11 and 12, with 4 stitches between them.

If desired, embroider the nose and ears with a few stitches using skin-tone yarn.

Crochet a striped scarf (cord), alternating yellow and red yarn.

Put on the glasses.
