Amigurumi crochet gnome

Free Gnome crochet tutorial by Yulia Musatova @julia__musatova.

With this pattern, you can crochet a gnome Christmas tree ornament. Any cotton blend yarn works well for amigurumi: YarnArt Jeans, Gazzal Baby Cotton, Alize Cotton Gold, and others. You can make the pom-pom yourself or use a ready-made one.

Materials and Tools

  • Gazzal Baby Cotton yarn (skin tone, white, and one color of your choice)
  • 1.75 mm crochet hook
  • 8 mm safety eyes
  • Toy stuffing
  • Decorative button
  • Soft pastels or blush for the cheeks
  • Needle for sewing parts together
  • Scissors

Pull the loops tight and close the opening. Leave a yarn tail for sewing.

Head

Work with skin-tone yarn into the back loops of round 25 of the hat.

Rnd 1-5: 54 sc (5 rounds)

Toy Assembly

  • Sew on the nose
  • Glue or sew the eyes on both sides of the nose
  • Make and sew a pom-pom onto the hat
  • Sew a decorative button onto the hat
  • Make a hanging loop at the top of the hat from 50 ch
  • Add rosy cheeks
