Fruit Slice
Free Fruit Slice crochet tutorial by Anastasia Budaeva @anastasiya_budaeva.
With this pattern, you can crochet a fruit slice keychain: watermelon, lemon, or orange. For this amigurumi project, you can use any plush yarn in matching colors. Even leftover yarn will work.
Materials and Tools
- Plush yarn: Himalaya Dolphin Baby or YarnArt Dolce
- Suitable crochet hook
- 10 mm safety eyes
- Thin black thread for embroidering the mouth (Coco or Iris)
- Black thread for embroidering the seeds (YarnArt Jeans)
- Keychain hardware
- Needle
- Scissors

Amigurumi Fruit Slice Crochet Pattern
Slice
Start with red or pink yarn:
1: 8 sc in MR
2: 8 inc (16)
3: (1 sc, inc) x 8 (24)
4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 7, 1 sc (32)
5: (3 sc, inc) x 8 (40)
Change to white yarn:
6: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 7, 2 sc (48)
Change to green yarn:
7: (5 sc, inc) x 8 (56)
Assembly
- Insert the eyes between rounds 3 and 4, leaving 4 sc between them
- Embroider the mouth between rounds 4 and 5
- Fold the piece in half and crochet 27 sc through both sides
- For an orange or lemon slice, embroider the segment lines
- Embroider the seeds on the back side
