French Fries

Free crochet tutorial for French Fries by Irina M @miytoys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a keychain shaped like french fries. Any acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or cotton blend yarn and a matching crochet hook will work for this amigurumi. The author recommends Karachay yarn.

The finished toy is about 6 cm tall.

Materials and Tools

• Karachay yarn in two colors
• 2.7 mm crochet hook
• 8 mm safety eyes
• Toy stuffing
• Glue
• Keychain hardware
• Needle for sewing pieces together
• Scissors

• hdc - half double crochet
• inc - increase
• dec - decrease
• (...) x n - repeat n times

Crochet Amigurumi French Fries Pattern

Box

1. Ch 12. Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, crochet 10 sc, 3 sc in one stitch, 10 sc, inc (25)
2. Work 25 hdc in the back loops only
3-8. 25 hdc (6 rows, or 5 rows if desired), then work 13 sc in turning rows (6 rows or 5 rows)

French Fry

1. 8 sc in MR
2. Work 8 sc in the back loops only
3. (1 sc, 1 front post stitch) x 4 (8)
4-10. Follow the established pattern (7/6/5 rows so the fries come out in different sizes)
11. 8 sc

Assembly

• Sew the fries to the box
• Glue on the eyes
• Embroider the cheeks and mouth
• Attach the keychain clasp
