Doll Dress

A free crochet tutorial for a Doll Dress by Kseniya Pilipeyko @kseniya_igrushki.

With this pattern, you can crochet a dress for a toy. For this doll outfit, you can use any yarn, a matching crochet hook, and something for decoration: a pretty button, satin ribbon, a crocheted flower, etc.

Materials and tools

• 1.9 mm crochet hook
• A pair of buttons
• Scissors

• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• inc - increase
• (...) x n - repeat n times

Crochet doll dress pattern

1. Chain 28 ch + 7 ch for a button loop
2. Starting in the 8th chain from the hook, crochet 28 sc; at the end of the row, make 1 ch and turn.
3. Work an sc increase in every stitch to the end of the row, 2 ch, turn (56)
4. 56 dc, 2 ch, turn
5. 56 dc, 1 ch, turn
6. 8 sc, 4 ch, skip 12 sc, starting from the 13th stitch crochet 16 sc, 4 ch, skip 12 sc, starting from the 13th stitch crochet 8 sc, 2 ch, turn (40)
7. (9 dc, inc) x 4. At the end of this row, make 7 ch, turn the work, and join them with a sl st into the last stitch of the row (44)
8. 2 ch, work a dc increase in every stitch to the end of the row (88)

Close the round with a sl st and make 2 ch. Next, crochet the dress in the round, making a sl st and 2 ch at the beginning of each new round.

9. Alternate (1 dc, inc) to the end of the round (130)

Then crochet straight fabric in 130 dc until you reach your desired length. I used 7 rows. Finish crocheting and weave in all yarn tails. Sew on the buttons and decorate the dress. You can make a belt from satin ribbon by threading it between the dc stitches.
