Arms (Make 2)

Using the milk color:

1: 6 sc in MR (6)
2: (sc, inc) x 3 (9)
3-4: 9 sc (2 rounds)
Continue using the sweater color:
5: 9 sl st in BLO
6: 9 sc in BLO
7-17: 9 sc (11 rounds)
18: fold in half and work 4 sc through both sides

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew the arms to the body.

Attaching the Hair Wefts

The doll will wear a hat, so three rows of hair are enough. Attach the hair fairly high, starting just above the eyes, rather than low on the head. This will make it easier to sew on the hat.

Hat

Hold two strands together and knit with 3.5 mm needles:

Make a gauge swatch first. My gauge is 2 stitches per 1 cm. Keep in mind that the stitch pattern is very stretchy. The doll's head measures 18 cm.

Cast on 36 sts + 2 edge sts = 38 sts.

1-15: work in K1, P1 ribbing (knit 1, purl 1...)
16: edge st, (K2tog, K1) to the end of the row, edge st
17: purl
18: edge st, K2tog to the end of the row, edge st

Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread it onto a needle and pass it through all the stitches on the knitting needle. Pull tight and sew the seam. Place the hat on the doll and sew it to the head, not directly along the hat's edge but about 1 cm above it, so the hair does not separate into clumps.

Cowl

Cast 6 stitches onto 2.5 mm knitting needles and work in garter stitch (knit every row) until the piece is long enough to fit snugly around the body. Bind off. Sew pom-poms and buttons onto the cowl (or decorate it with a large flower). Wrap it around the doll and sew the ends together.

Skirt

Cut the tulle into strips 3-4 cm wide and 15 cm long. Make sure the fabric stretches across the width, not lengthwise. Take a strand of the yarn used for the sweater and tie the strips onto it with simple overhand knots. The more strips you add, the fuller the skirt will be. Sew the skirt to the body. The doll is finished.
