Dog with a Heart

Free crochet tutorial for Dog with a Heart by Irina Artemova @irinely_art.
With this pattern, you can crochet a small pug. The tutorial also includes a crochet heart pattern. For this amigurumi project, any plush yarn will work: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, NAKO Bonbon Panda Baby, and others.
The finished toy is about 7 cm tall.
Materials and tools
- Plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby 80342 (beige)
- Plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby 80337 (brown)
- Acrylic yarn (light cherry)
- Black yarn or embroidery floss for embroidering the mouth
- 2 mm and 4 mm crochet hooks
- Fiberfill
- 9 mm half-beads (for the eyes and nose)
- White felt (for the eyes)
- Needle for sewing parts
- Scissors

Body
In beige:
1: 6 sc in MR
2: 6 inc (12)
3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
5-7: 24 sc (3 rounds)
8: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
9-11: 30 sc (3 rounds)
12: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
13: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
14: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
15: 6 dec
Stuff with fiberfill, pull the opening closed, and sew it shut.
Ears (make 2)
In brown:
1: 6 in MR
2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
3-5: 9 sc (3 rounds)
Sew closed.
Paws (make 2)
In beige:
1: 6 ch, starting in the 2nd chain from hook, 5 sc
Muzzle
In brown:
1: 6 ch, starting in the 2nd chain from hook, 4 sc, 3 sc in the last chain, 3 sc on the other side of the chain, inc
Heart
In red:
1: 6 sc in MR
2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
3: 9 sc
Make 2 pieces. On the second piece, do not cut the yarn. Join both halves and continue crocheting:
4-5: 24 sc (2 rounds)
6: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
7: 18 sc
8: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
9: 6 dec
Stuff with fiberfill. Pull the opening closed. Fasten off the yarn.

Toy assembly

- Sew on the muzzle and nose
- Cut out felt eyes and sew them on
- Sew on the ears, paws, and muzzle
- Embroider the mouth
- Sew on the heart
The amigurumi pug is ready!
