9: BLO: (7 sc, inc) x 6 (54)
10: (8 sc, inc) x 6 (60), sl st
Now begin the first curl. Ch 60, then, starting in the second ch from the hook, work 1 sc in each ch. The curl length depends on the number of chains: the longer you want the curl, the more chains you should make. You can work the curl in sc, sl st, or dc. Each stitch produces a different curl twist.
Once the first curl is complete, sl st in the next stitch of the round, sl st again in the following stitch, and ch 60 again. Continue this way to the end of the round. Work the next round into the front loops of round 9. Follow the same process, but ch 63 so that the curls end up the same length. Then work into the front loops of round 7 (ch 66), round 5 (ch 69), and round 3 (ch 72). Finally, make 3 curls from the center (ch 75 each).
Overalls
Begin with the pant legs. Ch 30 and join to work in the round.
1-10: 30 sc around (10 rounds)
Make the second pant leg in the same way, but do not cut the yarn. Continue crocheting the overalls: ch 5 from the second pant leg and join it to the first with a sl st.
11: 30 sc around the first pant leg, 5 sc along the ch-5, 30 sc around the second pant leg, 5 sc along the other side of the ch-5 (70)
12: Make 2 increases at the sides (72)
13-23: 72 sc (11 rounds)
24: (10 sc, dec) x 6 (66)
25: (9 sc, dec) x 6 (60)
26-27: 60 sc (2 rounds)
28: Make 2 decreases at the sides (58)
29-30: 58 sc (2 rounds)
Fasten off with a sl st. Cut the yarn.
Find the center front of the overalls and join the yarn. Work 18 sc, then crochet 8 turning rows of 18 sc each.
Straps (make 2)
Ch 25, work 1 row of hdc, and sew the strap to the overalls. Weave in the ends and decorate as desired (I added decorative stitching and turned up the pant cuffs).
Sundress
1: Ch 52 and join to work in the round.
2-4: 52 sc (3 rounds)
5: ch 2, (3 dc, inc) x 13 (65), sl st
6: ch 2, (4 dc, inc) x 13 (78), sl st
7-11: 78 sc (5 rounds)
12: sc, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, sc...
Repeat to the end of the round.
