Amigurumi Crochet Christmas Tree Pattern

The Christmas tree consists of a cone, a bottom circle, and branches.

Cone

1. Work 4 sc into a magic ring
2. Work 2 sc in each stitch = 8 stitches
3. (2 sc, inc) x 3 = 12 stitches
4. 12 sc
5. (2 sc, inc) x 4 = 16 stitches
6. 16 sc
7. (3 sc, inc) x 4 = 20 stitches
8. 20 sc
9. (4 sc, inc) x 4 = 24 stitches
10-11 rounds 24 sc in each round
12. (5 sc, inc) x 4 = 28 stitches
13-14 rounds 28 sc in each round
15. (6 sc, inc) x 4 = 32 stitches
16-18 rounds = 32 stitches
19. (7 sc, inc) x 4 = 36 stitches
20-22 rounds 36 sc in each round
23. (8 sc, inc) x 4 = 40 stitches
24-25 rounds 40 sc in each round
26. (9 sc, inc) x 4 = 44 stitches
27. 44 sc
28. (10 sc, inc) x 4 = 48 stitches
29. 48 sc
30 round edge with branches, joining each branch to the cone with a slip stitch: chain (7 ch, starting from the second chain from the hook work: 1 slip stitch, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 dc) - repeat 12 times.

Bottom Circle

1. Work 6 sc into a magic ring
2. Work 2 sc in each stitch = 12 stitches
3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 = 18 stitches
4. (2 sc, inc) x 6 = 24 stitches
5. 1 sc, inc, (3 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc = 30 stitches
6. 1 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 3 sc = 36 stitches
7. (5 sc, inc) x 6 = 42 stitches

Stuff the cone with synthetic filling and sew on the bottom circle.

Branches

Chain 7 ch, then starting from the second chain from the hook work: 1 slip stitch, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 dc.

I got a strip of 51 branches, and I crocheted the last 5 (top) branches like this:

(6 ch, starting from the second chain from the hook work: 1 slip stitch, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 dc) x 5 times.

Using a needle and matching thread, sew the strip of branches to the cone, starting from the bottom.

Decoration

Now start decorating the Christmas tree.

Take 12 mm plastic beads and cover them with cotton yarn in different colors as follows:

1. Work 6 sc into a magic ring
2. Work 2 sc in each stitch = 12 stitches
3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 = 18 stitches
4-7 rounds 18 sc in each round
8. Start decreases: (skip 1 stitch, 2 sc) x 6 = 12 stitches
9. (skip 1 stitch, 1 sc) x 6 = 6 stitches

I crocheted 16 balls. Do not cut the thread; leave a longer tail.

Use a needle to close the opening, secure the thread with a knot, and use the same thread to sew the balls to the tree.

You can decorate the tree topper with a snowflake or a star. Wrap thick wire with metallic embroidery floss and shape it into a snowflake or star, leaving two ends about 2.5-3.0 cm long, then insert them into the center of the top.
