Cat

Free crochet pattern for a Cat by Evgenia Grudacheva.

With this tutorial, you can crochet a white cat. Any yarn will work for this amigurumi project, whether acrylic, cotton, or a blend, along with a suitable crochet hook. Embroider the whiskers and nose with thin black thread. You can use safety eyes or sew-on eyes, whichever you prefer.

Head

Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Round 2: 6 inc = 12 (stitches in the round)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 = 18
Round 4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 = 24
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 = 30
Round 6: (4 sc, inc) x 6 = 36
Rounds 7-14: 36 sc
Round 15: (4 sc, dec) x 6 = 30
Round 16: (3 sc, dec) x 6 = 24
Stuff the toy
Round 17: (2 sc, dec) x 6 = 18
Round 18: (1 sc, dec) x 6 = 12

Embroider the face. The head is finished.

Arms

Round 1: 5 sc in MR
Round 2: 5 inc = 10
Rounds 3-5: 10 sc
Round 6: (dec, 8 sc) = 9
Round 7: (dec, 7 sc) = 8
Rounds 8-10: 8 sc

Legs and body

Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Round 2: 6 inc = 12
Rounds 3-6: 12 sc

Crochet another leg the same way, but do not cut the yarn. Make 1 ch and join the legs with a slip stitch.

Round 7: 12 sc around the first leg, 1 sc in the ch, 12 sc around the second leg = 26
Round 8: (12 sc, inc) x 2 = 28
Rounds 9-13: 28 sc
Round 14: (2 sc, dec) x 7 = 21
Rounds 15-16: 21 sc
Round 17: (5 sc, dec) x 3 = 18
Round 18: (attach the arms) 18 sc
Round 19: (1 sc, dec) x 6 = 12

Ears

Round 1: 4 sc in MR
Round 2: 4 inc = 8
Round 3: (3 sc, inc) x 2 = 10
Round 4: (4 sc, inc) x 2 = 12

Do not stuff the ears.

Tail

Round 1: 7 ch
Round 2: skip the first stitch and crochet 6 sc
