Cherry Pastry

Free Cherry Pastry crochet tutorial by @nakrju4ke.

With this pattern, you can crochet a pastry with a cherry. For this amigurumi project, you will need YarnArt Jeans yarn or any equivalent. The whole toy is crocheted in a spiral. The cherry and white cream are sewn on.

Materials and Tools

• YarnArt Jeans yarn (or any equivalent): beige, brown, white, red, green
• Crochet hook
• Toy stuffing
• Stitch markers
• Pins
• Tapestry needle for sewing pieces together
• Scissors

• MR - magic ring
• sl st - slip stitch
• ch - chain stitch
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• inc - increase
• dec - decrease
• (...) x n - repeat n times

Amigurumi Cherry Pastry Crochet Pattern

Cream (white)

Round 1. 6 sc in MR
Round 2. 6 inc (12)
Round 3. 12 inc (24)
Round 4. 2 ch, (3 dc in 1 stitch) x 24, sl st (72)

Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Cream (brown)

Round 1. 6 sc in MR
Round 2. 6 inc (=12)
Round 3. (1 sc, inc) x 6 (=18)
Round 4. 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 5, 1 sc (=24)
Round 5. (3 sc, inc) x 6 (=30)
Round 6. 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc (=36)
Round 7. (5 sc, inc) x 6 (=42)
Round 8. 3 sc, inc, (6 sc, inc) x 5, 3 sc (=48)

sl st, fasten off, cut the yarn.

Basket Base (beige)

Round 1. 6 sc in MR
Round 2. 6 inc (=12)
Round 3. 12 inc (=24)
Round 4. (3 sc, inc) x 6 (=30)
Round 5. 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc (=36)
Round 6. In back loops only: 36 sc
Then continue through both loops
Round 7. (5 sc, inc) x 6 (=42)
Round 8. 3 sc, inc, (6 sc, inc) x 5, 3 sc (=48)
Rounds 9-10. 48 sc (=48)

Stuff with filling.

Round 11. Crochet this round together with the cream: insert the hook through both loops of the basket piece and only the front loop of the cream (=48)
Round 12. Entire round in back loop only: 1 popcorn stitch made of 4 dc, 1 sl st, (1 sc, 1 popcorn stitch made of 4 dc, 1 sl st) x to the end of the round

After the last popcorn stitch, make 2 sl st at the end.

Berry (red)

Round 1. 6 sc in MR
Round 2. 6 inc (12)
Rounds 3-5. 12 sc (3 rounds)

Stuff the piece.

Round 6. 6 dec (6)

Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Use a needle to close the opening, catching the front loops only. Then insert the needle with yarn from the top into the center of the cherry and bring it out at the bottom, slightly tightening it.

Stem (green)

Chain 7, then from the second chain from the hook: 6 sl st. Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the stem into the indentation on top of the cherry.

Assembly

Sew the berry to the white cream, then sew the white cream with the cherry to the brown cream.
