Charming Dog

Free crochet tutorial for the Charming Dog by Anastasia Makeeva.

With this pattern, you can crochet a dog wearing a dress and a headband. For this amigurumi project, any acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or cotton blend yarn and a suitable crochet hook will work.

The finished toy size is about 22 cm.

Fold the edges together and crochet 7 sc through both sides.

Dress for the toy

Crochet the dress from the top down, starting with the yoke. At the end, sew a button onto the back. Crochet two flowers, sew one onto the dress and one onto the headband (a chain of ch).

1. Chain 26, starting in the 3rd chain from hook crochet (dc, inc) x 12 (36)
2. Chain 2, crochet 5 dc, chain 7 and skip 7 stitches of the previous round, then crochet 12 dc, chain 7 again and skip 7 stitches of the previous round. Crochet 5 dc again.
3. Crochet 2 ch and (dc, inc) x to the end of the round

Now crochet 4-6 rounds without changes.

Flower

For the flower, make 5 sc in MR.

Petal

For the petal, chain 2, crochet 2 dc, and chain 2 again into the same stitch, make a sl st into the next stitch of the ring. Repeat 4 more times.
