Cat Valentine

Free crochet tutorial for the Cat Valentine by Ekaterina Musatskova.

With this pattern, you can crochet a cat holding a heart. This Valentine-themed toy makes a great gift for Valentine's Day. For this amigurumi project, any cotton blend yarn will work: Alize Cotton Gold, YarnArt Jeans, Gazzal Baby Cotton, and others.

Materials and tools

• Alize Cotton Gold Hobby yarn: gray, off-white, red, black
• 1.6 mm crochet hook
• Safety eyes
• Synthetic poly filling
• Soft pastels or blush
• Needle for sewing pieces together
• Scissors

Pull the opening closed, cut the yarn, and hide the end inside the piece.

Lightly stuff the paw.
Rnd 10: Fold in half and crochet 4 sc through both sides

With gray yarn:

Fasten off. Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.

Tail

With gray yarn:

Rnd 2-4: 5 sc. Change to the main color.

Heart

Crochet two pieces with red yarn:

Rnd 5-6: 24 sc

Fasten off and cut the yarn on one piece. Do not cut the yarn on the second piece; continue crocheting. Place both pieces together as shown in the photo.

Rnd 7: Crochet 6 sc through both sides of the pieces, then continue on the piece farther from you with 18 sc, then 18 sc around the second piece (into the outer unworked loops) (36)
