Plush Felix the Cat

Free crochet tutorial for Felix the Cat by Anastasia Kravchenko.
With this pattern, you can crochet a plush Felix the Cat. Any plush yarn will work well for this amigurumi project: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, and others.
Yarn usage for one toy is about 1 skein of the main black color and 0.5 skein of white.
Materials and Tools
- Plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby (black), 1 skein
- Plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby (white), half a skein
- Plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby (80309-pink)
- 4-5 mm crochet hook
- 18 mm safety eyes
- 18 mm pink safety nose
- Synthetic poly filling
- Strong thread for sewing the parts together (white and black)
- Needle
- Scissors

Legs and Body
Start with white yarn for the legs:

9. change color to black, 12 sc

- Left leg: fasten off, cut the yarn, and hide the end.
- Right leg: crochet 4 more sc and continue working the body from the right leg. Chain 2, set the right leg aside and take the left one. On the left leg, count back 4 sc from the end of the round and join the right leg into the 4th stitch by making 1 sc, then continue with round 16:

Insert the eyes between rounds 10 and 11, with 6 sc between them. Insert the nose between rounds 12 and 13.
Muzzle
Using white yarn:

Lower Jaw
3 ch.
Ears (2 pieces)
Important!!! First crochet two pieces in white, then two in black! Attention!!! Work in turning rows!!!

3. ch, inc, 2 sc, inc made from 3 sc, 2 sc, inc
4. ch, inc, 4 sc, inc made from 3 sc, 4 sc, inc.
Cut the yarn on the white triangles and fasten off. Do not cut the yarn on the black triangles; place the pieces wrong sides together and crochet around them with sc without increases. Do not crochet across the bottom part of the ear! The ear is done! =)
Paws (2 pieces)
Start with white yarn:
1. 6 sc in MR
2. 6 inc (12)
3. 2 sc, inc, (1 sc, inc) x 3, 3 sc (16)
4-5. 16 sc
6. 3 sc, 4 dec, 4 sc (12)
7-18. change color to black, 12 sc. At the end of round 18, crochet 2 more sc; do not stuff the paw
all the way, just a tiny bit at the beginning of the paw! Fold the piece in half and crochet it closed with sc. The paws are done! =)
Sew all the parts together! Sew the ears on at an angle so they look more realistic!
