Bunny with a Heart

Free crochet tutorial for Bunny with a Heart by Lyudmila Kuropatova @smila_toys.
With this pattern, you can crochet a bunny and a heart. This toy makes a great gift for someone you love on Valentine's Day. Any acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, or cotton blend yarn will work for amigurumi.
The finished toy measures about 10 cm (not including the ears).
Materials and tools
- Alize Cotton Gold yarn, color No. 01
- YarnArt Jeans yarn: 36 pink (for the cheeks and ears), 26 red (for the heart), 71 coffee brown (for the sweater), 74 pink (for the sweater)
- 1.5 mm crochet hook
- 8 mm safety eyes
- Black thread for embroidering the eyebrows and nose
- Fiberfill
- Needle
- Scissors

- MR - magic ring / magic circle (MR)

Bunny with a heart amigurumi crochet pattern
Arms (make 2)
With milk-white yarn:
Rnd 1: 6 in MR
Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
Rnd 3: 9 sc
Change to the sweater color:
Rnd 4-8: 9 sc (5 rounds)
Fold the piece in half and crochet 4 sc through both sides. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.
Legs (make 2)
With milk-white yarn:
Rnd 1: 6 in MR
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Rnd 4-6: 18 sc (3 rounds)
Crochet the second leg the same way, but do not cut the yarn. Work 3 ch and a sl st to join it to the first leg. Then continue crocheting the body.
Body-head
Rnd 7: 18 sc around one leg, 3 sc over the ch, 18 sc around the second leg, 3 sc along the other side of the chain (42)

Change to coffee brown yarn:
Rnd 12-13: 60 sc
Rnd 14: (1 sc in light pink, 3 sc in coffee brown) x 15 (60)
Rnd 15: 2 sc in coffee brown, (1 sc in light pink, 3 sc in coffee brown) x 14, 1 sc in light pink, 1 sc in coffee brown
Fasten off and cut the pink yarn.

Change to milk-white yarn:

Pull the opening closed, fasten off, and hide the yarn tail.
Join coffee brown yarn to round 22 and work:
Rnd 1: 2 ch, (6 dc, inc) x 6 (48)
Change to light pink yarn:
Rnd 2: 1 ch, 48 sc, sl st
Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Cheeks (make 2)
With light pink yarn:
6 in MR
Ears (make 4)
With pink yarn:
Chain 8. Starting in the 2nd chain from hook, work sl st, 2 sc, 3 hdc, 5 hdc in the last chain,
then continue along the other side of the chain with 3 hdc, 2 sc, sl st (17)
Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Make the white piece the same way, but do not cut the yarn. Place the wrong sides together and crochet the ears together with sc, making 5 increases in dc.
Heart
With red yarn:
Rnd 1: 6 in MR
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: 12 sc
Rnd 4: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Fasten off and cut the yarn. Make the second piece the same way, but do not cut the yarn. Join the two pieces with sl st.
Then continue:
Rnd 5-6: 36 sc
Rnd 7: (4 sc, dec) x 6 (30)
Rnd 8-9: 30 sc (2 rounds)
Rnd 10: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
Rnd 11: 24 sc
Rnd 12: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
Rnd 13: 18 sc

Pull the opening closed and cut the yarn.
Assembly

- Sew the arms to the body around rounds 16-19.
- Sew the ears to the head around rounds 33-35.
- Glue or sew the eyes in rounds 28-29, spacing them 5 sc apart.
- Use thread to shape the face: embroider the nose, mouth, and eyebrows, and sew on the cheeks.
- Sew the heart to the arms.
