Amigurumi Bunny in Overalls Crochet Pattern

Head

Use gray yarn and a 2.0 mm hook.

R1: Ch 2, crochet 6 sc in the second chain from the hook
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
R5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
R6: (4 sc, inc) x 6 (36)
R7: (5 sc, inc) x 6 (42)
R8-R17: (10 rounds) 42 sc
R18: (5 sc, dec) x 6 (36)
R19: (4 sc, dec) x 6 (30)
R20: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
R21: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
R22: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
R23: 6 dec (6)

Stuff the head with fiberfill. Cut the yarn and pull it out from the loop. Using the tail and a hook, catch each of the six loops and tighten them into a small circle. Secure with a few knots using a needle and hide the yarn tail inside the toy.

Embroider the eyes: Use black yarn. Bring the yarn in through the neck area and bring it back out there at the end of embroidery. (My eyes are between rounds 10 and 11.) In the same way, from the neck area, you can embroider one or several white highlights over the black thread. Tie and trim all yarn ends.

Embroider the nose: Use pink yarn. Do it the same way as the eyes. Bring the yarn in through the neck area, embroider the nose and mouth, then bring the yarn back to the neck area, tie it off, and trim.

Cheeks (2 pieces)

Use pink yarn.

R1: Ch 2, crochet 6 sc in the second chain from the hook
R2: 6 inc (12)

Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Crochet the second cheek the same way. Sew cheeks to the head.

Ears (2 pieces)

My ears are different colors.

R1: Ch 2, crochet 6 sc in the second chain from the hook
R2: inc, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc (8)
R3: 1 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc, 2 sc (10)
R4: 2 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 2 sc (12)
R5: 3 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 2 sc (14)
R6: 4 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 2 sc (16)
R7: 5 sc, inc, 7 sc, inc, 2 sc (18)
R8: 6 sc, inc, 8 sc, inc, 2 sc (20)
R9-R17: (9 rounds) 20 sc
R18: 7 sc, dec, 8 sc, dec, 1 sc (18)
R19: 8 sc

Fold the ear in half and crochet through both layers along the bottom with 5 sc. (You get 1 sc that goes through 4 loops at once.) Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Crochet the second ear the same way.

Sewing: I sew all parts at least twice. The ears are attached on the same row of the head.

Body

Use gray yarn.

R1: Ch 2, crochet 6 sc in the second chain from the hook
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4-R5: 18 sc
R6: (2 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 3 sc) (21)
Sew the neck to the head. Change to the blouse-color yarn.
R7: (6 sc, inc) x 3 (24)
R8: (3 sc, inc, 7 sc, inc, 7 sc, inc, 4 sc) (27)
R9: (8 sc, inc) x 3 (30)
R10: (4 sc, inc, 9 sc, inc, 9 sc, inc, 5 sc) (33)
R11: (10 sc, inc) x 3 (36)
R12-R14: 36 sc
Change yarn again to the overalls color.
R15-R21: (7 rounds) 36 sc

Now we need to crochet two legs out of the body. First, divide the body in half. Make sure the legs are on the sides, not shifted toward the belly or back.

Legs (2 pieces)

Start right away with a dec. This decrease joins two sides of the body and forms the leg.

R1: dec, 7 sc, dec, 7 sc (16)
R2: 16 sc
R3: dec, 6 sc, dec, 6 sc (14)
R4-R9: (6 rounds) 14 sc

Set this leg aside for now (it is not finished yet) and move to the second one. Start the second leg the same way, with a dec, but be sure to leave a long starting yarn tail.

R1: dec, 7 sc, dec, 7 sc (16)
R2: 16 sc

Using the long tail left earlier, sew a few stitches between the bunny's legs so there are no holes there. Secure and trim the yarn, then continue crocheting.

R3: dec, 6 sc, dec, 6 sc (14)
R4-R9: (6 rounds) 14 sc
Now crochet both legs the same from rounds 10 to 14. Mine are different colors: one gray, one white.
R10-R12: 14 sc
Stuff the bunny with fiberfill and begin closing.
R13: (1 sc, dec, dec, dec) x 2 (8)
R14: 2 dec (6)

Add a bit more stuffing and close both legs the same way as described for closing the head.

Arms (2 pieces)

The arms become right and left only in the last rounds. Use gray yarn.

R1: Ch 2, crochet 6 sc in the second chain from the hook
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3-R5: 12 sc
R6: dec, 1 sc, dec, 4 sc, change to blouse-color yarn and crochet 3 more sc (10)
R7: 1 sc, dec, 7 sc (9)
R8-R15: (8 rounds) 9 sc

Left arm:

R16: 9 sc
R17: 3 sc, cut yarn leaving a tail for sewing.

Right arm:

R16: 8 sc, cut yarn leaving a tail for sewing.

Stuff two-thirds full with fiberfill. Sew the arms to the body.

Top Edge of the Overalls

Use overalls-color yarn and a 2.5 mm hook. Crochet directly on the bunny along the first row of the overalls.

R1: 1 ch, 7 sc
R2-R5: Crochet back and forth the same way, 7 sc, making 1 ch at the beginning of each row
R6: 7 sl st, cut yarn

Straps

Start from the bunny as well, but from the back side.

Crochet 1 ch and 1 sc on the bunny, turn the work, and crochet upward along the strap. (1 ch, 1 sc, turn again.) Repeat the action in parentheses until the strap reaches the needed height. (Mine has 11 sc, so it is 11 rows.) Cut yarn and sew the strap to the top edge of the overalls.

Crochet and sew the second strap on the front the same way. After both straps are sewn on, you can decorate the overalls. I simply sewed on two small matching buttons. Almost done, only the tail is left.

Tail

Use gray yarn and a 2.0 mm hook.

R1: Ch 2, crochet 6 sc in the second chain from the hook
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3: 12 sc

Cut yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew the tail to the bunny's bottom and stuff it with fiberfill while sewing. Take a look at the final result! :) I hope yours turned out great!
