Amigurumi Banana Crochet Pattern

Use YarnArt Jeans yarn and a 2.5 mm hook.

The curved banana shape is created by incomplete rows. That is, we start a row, cut the yarn, and then start the row again. This creates an extra incomplete row between the main ones.

The most important thing is to tighten all yarn ends neatly so there are no holes in the fabric. Do not pull them too tight, because that also looks untidy. With this technique, you can control the amount of curve yourself: the more extra incomplete rows you add, the more the piece bends. If you want, you can add them yourself while crocheting the banana. For example, on the white part, because I crochet it without extra rows. Just make sure these rows are positioned one above another. If the beginning of the row shifts for you, simply crochet more single crochet stitches, cut the yarn, and go back 8 sc.

Round 1: start with brown yarn, 6 sc in MR (6)
Round 2: 6 sc (6)
Round 3: change to yellow yarn, 6 sc (6)
Round 4: (1 sc, inc) x 3 times (9)
Round 5: (2 sc, inc) x 3 times (12)
Round 6: (3 sc, inc) x 3 times (15)
Round 7: (4 sc, inc) x 3 times (18)
Round 8: (5 sc, inc) x 3 times (20)
Round 9: (6 sc, inc) x 3 times (24)
Rounds 10-13: 24 sc in each round (24)
Round 14: crochet 8 sc, cut the yarn (8)
Round 15: go back 8 sc (to the beginning of the round), attach the yarn and crochet 24 sc (24) (crochet the first stitch of the round into the spot where the yarn is attached)

Rounds 16-17: 24 sc in each round (24)
Round 18: 8 sc, cut the yarn (8)
Round 19: go back 8 sc again, attach the yarn, crochet 24 sc (24)
Rounds 20-21: 24 sc in each round (24)
Round 22: 8 sc (8)
Round 23: go back 8 sc again, attach the yarn, crochet 24 sc (24)
Rounds 24-25: 24 sc in each round (24)
Round 26: begin crocheting the opened peel section in turning rows, crochet 8 sc in the front loops only (8)
Rounds 27-30: tch, turn, 8 sc (8)
Round 31: tch, turn, 1 sc, dec, 2 sc, dec, 1 sc (6)
Rounds 32-34: tch, turn, 6 sc (6)
Round 35: 1 sc, 2 dec, 1 sc (4)
Rounds 36-37: tch, turn, 4 sc (4)
Round 38: tch, turn, 1 sc, dec, 1 sc (3)
Rounds 39-40: tch, turn, 3 sc (3)
Round 41: tch, turn, dec, 1 sc (2)
Round 42: tch, dec (1), cut the yarn, fasten off and hide the end

Crochet the second and third peel "petals" the same way, starting from round 26; just attach the yarn first.

Continue with white yarn. Attach the yarn to the back loop of round 25 and crochet:

Round 26: 24 sc in the back loops only (24)
Rounds 27-30: 24 sc in each round (24), start stuffing
Round 31: (4 sc, dec) x 4 times (20)
Rounds 32-37: 20 sc in each round (20)
Round 38: (3 sc, dec) x 4 times (16)
Round 39: (2 sc, dec) x 4 times (12)
Round 40: (1 sc, dec) x 4 times (8)
Round 41: use a needle to neatly draw the remaining 8 stitches closed through the front loops, cut the yarn, and hide the end inside the banana.

You can also crochet around the peel "petals" with sc along the perimeter so they curl less. Or simply steam them.
