Baby Mice

Free Baby Mice crochet tutorial by Irina Tsyopa @igrushkibasi.

With this pattern, you can crochet small mice. For this amigurumi project, any acrylic, cotton, or cotton blend yarn in two colors and a matching crochet hook will work.

Materials and Tools

• White and pink yarn
• Crochet hook
• Safety eyes
• Nose
• Yarn or embroidery floss for embroidering eyelashes and eyebrows
• Toy stuffing
• Soft pastels for shading
• Sewing needle for attaching parts
• Scissors

• MR - magic ring
• sl st - slip stitch
• ch - chain stitch
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• hdc - half double crochet

Baby Mice Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

Tail

Leave a long yarn tail, make the first loop, then place the yarn on the hook and crochet 25-30 ch. Tail length is 10-11 cm. Leave a yarn tail for sewing to the body.

Arms (2 pcs)

You can start with pink yarn.

Make 8 sc in MR:

Rnd 1. 8 sc (8)
Rnd 2. dec, 4 sc, dec (6), switch to body color (milky white)
Rnd 3-9. 6 sc (6)
Rnd 10. 3 sc through both loops, leave a yarn tail for sewing.

Ears (2 pcs)

Crochet with pink yarn.

Make 8 sc in MR:

Rnd 1. 8 inc (16)
Rnd 2. (1 hdc, inc hdc) x 6 (24)
Rnd 3. (2 dc, inc dc) x 6 (32), then fold in half and crochet 4 sl st

Legs (2 pcs)

Start with pink yarn.

Make 9 sc in MR:

Rnd 1. 9 sc (9)
Rnd 2. 3 sc, crochet the next 3 sc together through the front loop, 3 sc (7)
Rnd 3. 7 sc (7)

Cut the yarn, leaving a short tail (hide it inside). Crochet the second leg the same way. Make 2 offset stitches.

Attention: to make the toes point inward, work 2 offset stitches, then make 9 ch and join to the first leg 2 stitches away from the marker, inserting the hook into the 3rd stitch.
