Baby Deer

With this pattern, you can crochet a plush deer with a scarf. Any plush yarn works for this amigurumi: Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, and others.

Materials and tools

• Himalaya Dolphin Baby or YarnArt Dolce plush yarn, half a skein of the main color and just a little of an additional color
• Acrylic yarn (50 g / 200 m)
• 2 mm hook (for socks and antlers) and 4.5 mm hook (for body)
• 12 mm safety eyes
• Fiberfill
• Embroidery floss
• Stitch markers
• Sewing needle for assembling parts
• Scissors

• MR - magic ring
• sl st - slip stitch
• sc - single crochet
• inc - increase
• dec - decrease
• (...) x n - repeat n times

Start crocheting the deer from the legs and continue into the body.

Legs (make 2)

Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: no changes, 12 sc

Crochet the second leg the same way, join it to the first leg with a single crochet. Place marker here and start crocheting the first body round.

Round 1: 12 sc on first leg, 12 sc on second leg (24)
Rounds 2-6: 24 sc (5 rounds)
Round 7: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)

Remember to stuff firmly.

Round 8: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)

Now continue to the head.

Round 9: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Round 10: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
Round 11: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
Rounds 12-13: 30 sc with no changes (2 rounds)

Leave a yarn tail for sewing.

Muzzle

Leave a yarn tail for sewing.

Nose

Crochet 6 sc in MR and sl st.

Leave a yarn tail for sewing to the muzzle.

Antlers (make 2)

Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Rounds 2-4: 6 sc (3 rounds)

Crochet 2 such pieces. The next parts will be joined.

Round 1: 6 sc in MR
Rounds 2-4: 6 sc (3 rounds)

Join with the smaller piece so that the round has 9 sc.

Rounds 4-7: 9 sc (4 rounds)

Leave a yarn tail for sewing. Sew all parts on and make sculpting at the points where pins are inserted in the photo. First one eye, tighten at the bottom, then the second one. Do the same at the bottom again. Hide the yarn tail.

Scarf

Chain 90, from the second chain from hook work back with single crochet. At the end make a sl st. Cut the yarn and hide the end.
