Baby Bellflower

Free crochet tutorial for Baby Bellflower by Tatyana Sokolova @tatsok_toys.

With this pattern, you can crochet a baby in a bellflower costume. You can use any yarn. For the baby, the designer recommends YarnArt Jeans, and for the hat, Lama or Pekhorka Detskaya.

The finished toy measures about 11 cm, not including the hat.

Materials and tools

• YarnArt Jeans yarn: 03 milk (for the body)
• Lama Detskaya yarn: blue (for the hat)
• Pekhorka Shkolnaya yarn: 480 bright green (for the hat)
• Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn: 15 dark blue (for the hat and collar)
• A small amount of yarn for the tuft of hair
• 1.9 mm crochet hook
• Black Iris thread for embroidering the face
• Safety eyes
• Toy stuffing
• 2 beads (for the ties)
• Needle for sewing parts together
• Scissors

Pull the opening closed and cut the yarn. Sew on the arms using button jointing. Attach bead eyes, embroider the nose with body-colored yarn, optionally embroider eyebrows and a mouth with one small stitch, and tint the cheeks.

Tuft of hair

Attach hair-colored yarn at the crown, chain 11, then starting in the second chain from the hook crochet 10 sc, make 3-4 more strands like this. Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Attach Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn in 15 dark blue and work sc evenly around the edge. Fasten off and cut the yarn ends.

Leave a tail for sewing and cut the yarn. Sew the sepal to the hat.

Collar

Pekhorka Shkolnaya yarn in 480 bright green, hook size 1.9 mm:

Chain 19 (leave a tail about 30-35 cm long for the tie), starting in the third chain from the hook work 2 hdc in each chain across. Make 1 ch, turn, work 34 sc, ch 2, turn, (1 hdc, hdc increase) x 17. Fasten off and cut the yarn. Attach Pekhorka Detskaya Novinka yarn in 15 dark blue from the right side and edge the collar as follows: (4 sc in one stitch, sl st, skip one stitch) x across the row. Fasten off and cut the yarn. Using the starting tail, chain 25, attach yarn on the other side, and make the second tie. Thread beads onto the ends. The collar is ready, put it on.
