Crochet amigurumi acorn

With this pattern, you can crochet an acorn with a leaf. Any acrylic, cotton, or cotton blend yarn and a suitable crochet hook will work for this amigurumi project.

Materials and Tools

  • Yarn: dark brown, light brown, green
  • Suitable crochet hook
  • Toy stuffing
  • Thread for sewing parts
  • Needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations

  • MR - magic ring
  • sc - single crochet
  • dc - double crochet
  • hdc - half double crochet
  • pc - popcorn stitch (4 dc in one stitch)
  • inc - increase
  • dec - decrease
  • (...) x n - repeat n times

Crochet Amigurumi Acorn Pattern

Top Part

With light brown yarn:

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR
Rnd 2: (1 pc and 1 hdc in one stitch) x 6 times (12)
Rnd 3: sc, inc x 12 times (24)
Rnd 4: (pc, hdc) x 12 times (24)
Rnd 5: (sc, inc) x 12 times (36)
Rnd 6: (hdc, pc) x 18 times (36)
Rnd 7: 36 sc
Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Bottom Part

With dark brown yarn:

Leave a 15 cm (6 in) yarn tail.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR
Rnd 2: inc x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
Rnd 6: 30 sc
Rnd 7: (4 sc, inc) x 6 (36)
Rnd 8-13: 36 sc (6 rounds)
Fasten off and cut the yarn.

Return to the 15 cm (6 in) tail. Bring it to the right side through the center of the magic ring. Make 3 ch. Hide the yarn back into the center of the ring. Stuff and sew the parts together. Your acorn is ready!
